Originating from Sweden, H&M offers fashion and quality at the best prices. It understands the modern, digital demand from consumers. Most of its new collections will stimulate a new campaign and be promoted on all social media platforms.

Prior to the air of the actual Super Bowl commercial, H&M ran a grand prize giveaway on Facebook and in stores for a chance to meet David Beckham the model for H&M’s Bodywear line at the time. H&M released teasers on YouTube with one showing David Beckham in the studio getting his briefs and clothes ripped off, and the other rewind back in time where David Beckham is in the photoshoot studio with his signature briefs on. H&M engaged with its audience through the Twitter campaign by letting the audience decide which version of the commercial will air real time through their choice of the two different hashtags

Topshop has transformed drastically over the decade into a cool, affordable high street brand that not only teenagers follow, but also famous fashion bloggers, models, and celebrities. It has become “the” place to go for clothes with individuality and glamour.

Topshop collaborated with Twitter and launched the #LIVETRENDS real time campaign where billboards were set up in major UK cities, each near a Topshop store. From front row fashion Tweets, Topshop determines which styles are most in-trend, and recommends collections available in stores that customers could purchase right away.

River Island's latest campaign ‘Find Yourself’ will be spread across TV, press, digital, social and for the first time will include a cinema screening. It moves away from seasonal marketing or ‘micro-moments’, and aims to celebrate the different clothing tastes of its consumers all year round, as the models in its ad show a variety of different fashion styles rather than specific seasonal clothing.

The brand says it is taking the conversation around identity further with its tagline ‘there’s only one you’, which urges consumers to enjoy their own individual style and not be dictated by the seasons.

Story-boarding: Introduction: The introduction to my music video will be set on the beach in the evening. The first shot is a birds eye view of the sea crashing on to the beach with words like the artists and the song title. It will turn in to a series of shots of exoctic places and activities in different locations , to go with the 'live in the moment' type story. During the song, there are parts where the voice is the main focus. This is where I plan to have extreme close ups of lips miming the lyrics of the song. This will not only show a variation in shot selection, but will also make a connection between the video and the song. The storyboard sketches are just some ideas that I have in mind, but might not make it to the video. All the shots in the photo are inspired by other dance music videos that have a similar atmosphere that I want to partially replicate.

Evaluate My Initial Footage

Framing -  We think that our shot is framed well. Our actor is in the centre of the frame and the backdrop is fairly accurate against the original. Our shot could be improved by having the actor further away so that he is smaller in the frame and his knees are at the bottom. The professional shit is successful because it has a good use of contrast with the shadows and the outfit is clearly shown with a contrast between the shirt and skirt. Lighting -  Our lighting works fairly well, however it is slightly brighter than the original. We relied on ambient lighting which may have been too harsh with the halogen lights. The original appears to have relied on ambient lighting of the sun fairly late in the day through a window. The professional shot may have used their lighting in order to make the subject stand out by making the background darker. Mise en scene -  Our costume is fairly close to the original with the skirt and check shirt. The shirt ...
